Michael serves as Chief Investment Officer at Modal, where he is responsible for sourcing and executing new investment opportunities, structuring strategic partnerships, and leading fundraising initiatives. He brings more than 13 years of experience in institutional private equity and family office investment management, with a strong track record of disciplined capital deployment and portfolio growth.

Prior to Moda, Michael was Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Crowe Capital Management, and previously held senior investment roles at AEW Capital Management, Partners Group (SWX: PGHN), and Hunt Companies. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary teams in the execution of $4.2 billion in real estate transactions across multiple investment strategies and managed a national portfolio valued at $11.8 billion, encompassing more than 34,000 housing units.

In addition to his role at Moda, Michael currently serves as Managing Director at Vantage Capital Investments, where he oversees the firm’s real estate investment initiatives. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and has published with ULI on topics related to climate change and real estate.

Michael holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy from Boston College, and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance & Development from MIT’s Center for Real Estate. He resides in Houston, Texas, and in his free time enjoys golfing, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling.
